Seaglass
01What
Seaglass is a booking tool for therapy practices. A care coordinator enters a client's state, insurance and preferred times, sees every therapist who is free and a fit, and books the session for them.
02Why
The practice matched clients by messaging therapists one by one to find an opening. Every booking meant a round of emails and waiting, so I built a tool that shows real availability at once.
03How
Therapists paste their calendar's iCal feed, and Seaglass expands recurring events across time zones, then subtracts them from working hours and existing bookings to find open slots. Bookings hold only an opaque reference, never a client's name or contact details, so the system stores no protected health information. One deployment serves many practices, with role checks on every server call, a separate append-only audit database and email reminders every 30 minutes.
